Meet the Hollowed

One of the things we wanted to avoid with Lost Signal was a generic zombie horde. The Hollowed are people who were caught in range of an active Signal Grid tower during the collapse — they're still alive, still human, but no longer entirely themselves. Behaviorally, this means the Hollowed are unpredictable rather than purely aggressive: some wander, some mimic old routines, and some react violently to nearby electronics. Combat encounters are built around reading and reacting to that unpredictability rather than pattern memorization.
